Small Ornaments Checklist-ALPHABETICAL

This page lists smaller pieces Loretta self-published as part of a Christmas Heirlooms club ornament set, or under the Needle Adventures or Loretta Spears Design name, organized in alphabetical order by title.  Some of the Christmas club ornaments were also published in magazines and in Needle Adventure/Artists Collection leaflets.  If there is an article and a photograph of the piece on the Loretta Blog, there is a link after the listing.  Items in red have no photograph or article yet.

It appears that in 1992 Loretta used Loretta Spears Designs on her cover pages but dropped this in 1993 (?).  Note that in January 1994 Loretta dropped "Christmas Heirlooms" from the name of her small ornaments charts and used only "Needle Adventures."  In February 1995 she switched from Needle Adventures back to the Loretta Spears Designs name for her self-published ornament charts. The cover page changed at this time from heavy slick white paper with Needle Adventures in green with her name and a green threaded needle by the word Needle Adventures.  The photos attached to the front were surrounded by a thin green line to box the photo and set it off.  The February 1995 cover page is pink typing weight paper with a black and white intricate braided border and Loretta Spears Designs arched over the photo.  All of 1995 charts I've seen after Feb. 1995 were on pink paper except for March 1995 which was on green, probably for St. Patrick's Day.

This is a work in progress.  If you can help with more information, publication dates and photos, email me at LorettaSpearsDesigns@gmail.com.  Thanks for your help!

I'm sorry, Diane. The owner of that blog has deleted it and none of the links go anywhere. There is no place for me to substitute, either. It's just part of the problems with the Internet. Things can disappear, especially when someone loses interest in needlepoint.
